Our   name   “242   Radio”   came   from   an offshore   radio   station   Radio   Scotland 242.   This   Radio   Staion   broadcast   from the    1st    January    1966    to    14th    August 1967. Radio   Scotland   242   broadcast   from   a radioship     anchored     in     international waters   off   the   coast   of   Scotland.   They could   be   heard   on   242   meters   on   the Medium Wave Band. To    honour    this    popular    radio    station from   the   60’s   who’s   fate   was   sealed   50 years     ago     we     have     adopted     “242 Radio”   as   our   name   in   rememberance of   said   station.   From   time   to   time   we hope   to   recreate   the   sounds   of   these yesterday years.
